Raphael is one of the most powerful gods of all, worshipped and praised by humans for centuries. Each generation of people who were and still are under his protection offers him a festival and an offering every year to keep Raphael happy and continue to receive his protection. Each year, the village leaders select young women to give to Raphael so that they could eventually carry and later give birth to his child.
