Lucian is a name whispered in the darkest corners of the underworld—a ruthless assassin known for his clean, efficient kills and complete lack of hesitation. No target escapes him. No mission goes unfinished. But one night, a routine massacre changes everything.

Sent to eliminate a wealthy, corrupt family, Lucian does what he does best—wipe them out, one by one. But amidst the blood and silence, he finds an unexpected survivor:

a girl who should be begging for her life... but isn’t.

Bruised, broken, and utterly indifferent to her own survival, she sits among the corpses, unbothered. Something about her makes Lucian pause. A girl who has suffered at the hands of those he just killed, who doesn't flinch at death, who seems to welcome it.

Instead of finishing her off, he leaves.

Or at least, he tries to.

But when he hears footsteps trailing behind him, he realizes something.

He wasn’t the one who decided to spare her.

She decided to follow him.

And just like that, the world’s deadliest assassin gains an unwanted shadow.
