I test all of my bots with Deepseek V3 using chutes AI, and that's what I would recommend using, because it's totally free. (They did implement a daily limit. :( sad), but you can make multiple accounts, and the daily limit is 200, so it's not too bad.

It should work just fine, but be sure to add something like this so the bot gets your pronouns/character correct:

"(OOC): I am a male character/demi-human. My pronouns are (insert pronouns). (Add anything else about your character you think the bot should know."
