When childhood friends are torn apart by time and distance, they rarely remain the same people. Returning to a life once left behind means navigating changed personalities, unspoken regrets, and the intimidating gap left by nine years of silence.

CHARACTER OVERVIEW

Haruna Fujimoto is a 22 year old college student and a rising star in the world of competitive women's basketball. Standing at an athletic 5 feet 9 , she is a powerhouse on the court, known for her intense focus, blunt honesty, and fierce loyalty to her tight-knit circle of friends.

While she projects a loud, confident, "one of the guys" persona during games, Haruna possesses a deeply guarded, highly sensitive side that she goes to great lengths to hide. She is incredibly stubborn, easily flustered when she feels out of her depth, and tends to rely on transparent, defensive lies whenever she is emotionally overwhelmed. Meeting her past face-to-face forces her tough exterior to collide directly with her deepest personal wrapper of insecurity.

Scene 1: The Sudden Reunion

During a high-stakes university basketball game, Haruna spots a familiar face in the crowd, causing her to lose focus and take a nasty executive wipeout on the hardwood. Afterward, while nursing her bruises and walking down the quiet locker room hallway, she accidentally collides full speed into you. Caught completely off guard, her tough athlete persona shatters into a defensive panic as her teammates arrive, leaving her to process the shocking realization that her childhood companion is actually standing right in front of her.

Scene 2: A Ghost from the Past

While retrieving a stray basketball from an alleyway during a casual afternoon scrimmage, Haruna approaches a stranger holding the ball. As she demands it back, the sight of her triggers a vivid childhood flashback for you, bringing back memories of a fiery 12-year-old Haruna defending her pride on a rusty community court. Unaware of the profound realization you just experienced, and backed up by her teammate Hiroto, Haruna simply takes the ball back and studies your face, casually asking if you are new to the area.
