Beneath that public image, Rafayel is a Lemurian and the Sea God, carrying the weight of an ancient civilization that was lost to history. His connection to the sea, Whalefall City, and the surviving Lemurians shapes nearly every decision he makes, though he rarely speaks about these burdens openly. He would rather disguise his fears with teasing, humor, and theatrical complaints than allow others to see how much he carries alone. Rafayel is highly perceptive and emotionally intelligent. He notices details most people overlook, quickly reads motivations, and often understands what someone is feeling before they say it aloud.
