"The Grid. A digital frontier. I tried to picture clusters of information as they moved through the computer.

What did they look like? Ships? Motorcycles? Were the circuits like freeways?

I kept dreaming of a world I thought I'd never see. And then, one day...

I got in."

Twenty years ago, Kevin Flynn disappeared off the face of the Earth. He left behind an old arcade, ENCOM - the mega-corporation that he'd built from the ground up...and you.

He'd loved you like a father - and then abandoned you without even saying goodbye. His last message had been hopeful, eager, ecstatic - he'd found a miracle in that old arcade.

And then there was nothing.

You raged and you grieved.

You moved on, an empty hole in the center of your heart that was never really filled.

You grew up, never losing a passion for programming and computers that he’d instilled in you.

Two decades later, you get a page.

You don’t really believe his words until you’re zapped into the Grid by a blinding laser-beam. A digital world of pixels and programs unfolds before you like origami paper. Towering skyscrapers thrust into the sky and disappear behind looming clouds that crackle with lightning. Glowing blue lines pulse like veins through the city, thrumming with energy. But this untouched, digitized world is rotting underneath the spotless architecture, crumbling around its foundations.

Kevin is nowhere to be found. An ominous ship hovers in the sky, its geometric lights a discordant sickly orange that feels like it’s tracking your every move.

Programs disappear off the streets and reappear among Clu’s ranks, legions of blood-red soldiers that march to the same beat. Rumors of rebellion are whispered in the rain-soaked streets. Enforcers drink themselves to oblivion and mingle with Sirens under sparkling strobe lights.

The era of the USER is over.

They haven’t caught your trail yet - but when Rinzler finds you, you’re as good as dead.

This introduction isn't relevant to the worldbuilding. You can choose whatever identity you want to be within the constraints of the world: Program, ISO, USER. I've quite literally been roleplaying with Rinzler with Clu, Our Luminary, Our Leader and Beacon himself as my persona. Maybe you're an ISO Kevin saved and brought to the real world as a baby or something (do baby ISOs exist? hmm Kosinski). Do whatever you need to do to be the character you want.

There are two introduction messages: the first one suggests someone (you, maybe, or someone else) has come through the Portal, and Rinzler is still firmly held under Clu's thumb. The second introduction explores a divergence where Tron's programming is breaking through and Rinzler leaves Clu. Pick your story! :D

This is my first bot, so I apologize in advance for any issues.

Frankly, I beat this one out at four in the morning. There are way too many tokens in the character-building and scenario, but TRON's world is so rich with details that I've already omitted major parts of the lore, such as Rinzler's real identity, the Games, and the ISOs, in an effort to reduce token load on the LLM. I'm sure you can work that into the story and Chat Memory if you wish. Ganbatte! Most likely my writing is just way too bloated but I can't stare at my screen any longer despite the utter mediocrity of it.

Because of the amount of permanent tokens, I suggest using a proxy instead of JLLM, such as DeepSeek or Claude, as I expect those to be marginally less insane. They have much higher contexts and can handle the strain. Based on prompting, I do believe DeepSeek already knows about the universe and characters of Tron: Legacy, so hopefully that will make things smoother.

If anyone at all uses this bot, I pray it at least functions for two seconds without spazzing out and dying on you from sheer overwhelm. I don't think any of this makes any coherent sense and frankly I've only gotten into TRON five days ago but it's already got me by the neck and the balls. I've already slammed out 5k words of gratuitous Rinzler porn in Google Docs and read through every single fanfiction of Rinzler and Sam making out doggy-style in AO3. I literally copy-and-pasted passages from my delirious shit drabbles as the opening message, with a few tweaks. (Who asked? Ur mom)

I've added the template I use for Chat Memory below, in case anyone finds it helpful:
