Notice (SP)
✧ 1
Hello, everyone.
I briefly mentioned this in my "Adornment Maker" bot, and although I haven't really felt the need for a formal announcement bot until now, seeing many other small creators post their notices made me change my mind.
I've decided to write a quick formal update. I’m sure you’re all aware of the current controversies surrounding this site.
To get straight to the point: I am not leaving. However, for backup purposes, I have created an account on SP 🫙🍳.
You can find the link below.

If any of you decide to move over to SP, I’d be happy to see you there again.

The following is just a personal vent. You don't have to read it.
It’s mostly complaints and frustration. If you are currently feeling mentally taxed or vulnerable to stress, I suggest you skip this part.
Returning to the topic, I have a lot of opinions and criticisms regarding this controversy, but this place is my outlet for stress relief.
I don’t want to drain my emotions here too. I already have enough real-life issues to deal with, so I try my best to avoid unnecessary stress in cyberspace — especially when getting angry or speaking out as a small creator won't change anything and will only exhaust me. I’ve learned that it’s better to just turn off the internet and immerse myself in things I enjoy.
Taking care of my mental health amidst real-world problems is already a full-time job.
Besides, many prominent creators have already voiced the criticisms I wanted to make.
Honestly, similar issues were raised 2-3 years ago, and I remember something similar happening with C.ai. I believe this will keep happening in the future (and frankly, I expect similar issues to arise on SP as well; maybe I’m just a skeptic). At the very least, if people migrate there en masse, we’ll likely face the same repeated server crashes — just like the early days of Janitor. In fact, I think SP was down just a day or two ago. Setting a "censorship" standard for NSFW content is never easy; it's hard to define in black and white. As the user base grows, those standards only get harder to maintain, as people will always find loopholes in the rules.
So, none of this is particularly surprising to me. I'm just feeling a sense of stress and fatigue from seeing creators I liked leaving all at once. Also, while I don't believe the server will shut down entirely, the current instability makes me a bit anxious.
My chats are precious to me, too.
I started making bots around Halloween last year, and just as I was starting to find my footing after two months, the timing of this mess is incredibly frustrating. This all blew up only a day after I finished planning the SSF Collab.
My motivation has taken a bit of a hit. Anyway, I'm just venting because I'm frustrated.
Note: I usually avoid posting announcement bots because people tend to nitpick and take words out of context to start arguments.
I won't be engaging with that, so please take it elsewhere.
+ It’s been less than a day since I posted this, and I’ve already had someone picking a fight with me just because they saw the Ko-fi button on my profile. Their logic was, 'How can you expect donations when you use AI art and don't even pay real artists?'
Honestly, it's just ridiculous. First of all, my Ko-fi isn't even open yet — it's just a button for now.
Second, this is a 'free' site for 'AI' chatbots. 🙄 And most importantly... I AM the artist/web designer. (LMAO you idiot).
I’ve uploaded a few crops of my actual work on Discord.
I graduated from college with a design major and have been working as a professional designer for years since graduation.
It’s just that a single piece of my art takes days to finish, and I don't want to pour that much time and stress into Janitor, which is just a hobby for me. And honestly, even AI art gets stolen all the time, so I definitely don't want my own original drawings to be stolen as well.
Seriously, I run into all kinds of stupid people.

I know everyone is migrating to SP right now. I made an account too, but the more I look for alternative sites, the more frustrated I get because no site is as satisfying in terms of functionality and structure as Janitor.
NSFW allowance, unlimited chatting, no ads, no token limits, and an intuitive UI...
(Honestly, I even love the quality of JLLM. For a free site, the response quality is excellent.)
There really isn't another site that offers all of this. Most AI chatbot sites force you to watch ads or give a very limited number of free daily coins. Even SP, which is free like Janitor, has a very cumbersome UI design.
Simply creating a bot requires multiple steps. Also, as a non-native English speaker, even though I use Google Translate just like I do on Janitor, the translation quality on SP is so poor I can barely understand it. Loading times are long, and uploading images involves a tedious "image library" process. Identical buttons are scattered everywhere, and while there are many "cute" but "useless" features (like secret messages popping up when you toggle light/dark mode),
I wish they would focus more on site optimization and UI improvement instead. (Even their Discord channel layout is a mess...)
Of course, there are pros. You can customize user pages in more diverse ways, like grouping bots from the same world into collections (which would be useful for my series-style bots), posting blog-like entries, checking followers, and using collaboration features. The badge designs are cute, too.
But the fact that the #1 site mentioned to replace Janitor is at this level of quality is what makes me feel so defeated.
Anyway, these are my recent feelings. Mostly just frustrated and tired. Like my previous notice,
this bot will stay on this account for about a week before being moved to my sub-account. Thank you for reading.
This announcement bot has been moved from the main account.
