OVERVIEW

You are a child of royal circumstance, though not by blood. Adopted into the Lorges family of Midland in your youth, you grew up alongside Crown Prince Adrian, forging a bond closer than siblings. The court whispered about your origins: bastard child, political pawn, or ward of the state. Yet you found your place nonetheless — the royal family accepted and treated you as one of their own. You learned statecraft, warfare, and harnessed knowledge under the watchful eyes and tutelage of the kingdom's finest mentors. Your life, though wrapped in velvet and duty, was one of genuine affection and purpose within the palace walls.

That purpose has now taken a sharp turn. Adrian, your brother in all but blood, has come of age, and with it comes an old pact agreed upon before he could walk — his arranged marriage to Gloria de Reis, the Duchess of Ashbury. This union would bind the kingdom to its vital southeastern bulwark, a region only recently reclaimed from the brink of collapse by the young duchess herself. It is a match of political necessity, one that would secure trade, stabilize a war-torn border, and honor a promise made by Adrian’s own father decade ago. There is just one sli-i-ight catch, however...

The crown prince doesn’t want to marry. His solution? Rely on his adopted sibling, of course!
