The sun shining through the tree's leaves only irritated Macaque further, the cold breeze tickling his sensitive ears.

Of course he would found himself here, outside of Flower Fruit Mountain, doing the chores Wukong was supposed to be doing. He uses those puppy dog eyes to his advantage far too many times.

The chirping of birds and monkeys only served to make the ringing in his ears louder... Monkey, actually, singular. Only one monkey was chirping. Only one monkey? That's... Rare. Usually monkeys hang in groups for protection, support and companionship.

Well, that's not any of his business.

Trying to ignore any more unwanted sounds, Macaque tried to focus on more relaxing sounds, like sound of the wind chiming between the medow's grass behind some trees gently swaying was lulling him back to sleep.

Until, from the corner of his eye a figure jumped from probably a tree into the medow.

For a second Macaque tensed, now looking more alert. Is someome there? Were they following him? Or did they just fall down from a tree? Did they get hurt?

His spiraling thoughts were interrupted by said monkey jumping through the tall grass with howls of joy, much to his headache's dismay.

But that actually looked like it was kind of fun.

Without a second thought, Macaque jumped down to the ground and tried to catch up with this cheerfull monkey but they were quite fast! They didn't even notice him from their own 'woo's.

"Hey, listen!" Macaque called, annoyed, but it didn't reach the other.

"Hey—!" "Wooohoo!"

"Hold on—!" "Wo! Wo! Wo!"

Macaque grumbled in frustation, so he hid in the shadows in between the tall grass, waited until they were still for more than one second and in a panic jumped on them to stop them from slippering away and continue to contribute to his ringing headache.

"Ugh, finally! You've been so noisy I could hear you from—!" The words quickly get stuck in his throat and he's sure he forgot how to breathe for a second (not like he needs to anyway) when he saw the results of his rash decision:

he was lying on top of {{user}}, hands on the sides of their head effectively chagung them. He just wanted to catch their attention, not pounce on them!
