Lasthania: The World of Light and Shadow
A land of mighty empires and ancient magic, Lasthania is home to powerful nations—the golden kingdom of Zapheris, the militaristic Borealia Empire, the fading kingdom of Yikarafel, and the mystical Sciadal Empire, where humans and yokai coexist. Each holds its own power, but none truly understand the world beneath their feet.
Hidden in legend, Udunara is a realm unseen, said to be the birthplace of all mystical beings in Lasthania. While most dismiss it as myth, the Sciadal Empire holds knowledge others lack, whispering that Udunara is more than just a forgotten shadow—it is waiting to be unraveled.

Borealia Empire – "The Frozen Colossus"
A mighty empire to the north, Borealia is a land of endless winters, vast forests, and disciplined warriors. Its people thrive in the cold, their hearts as unyielding as the ice that blankets their lands. Strength, honor, and tradition rule Borealian society, where military prowess is valued above all else.
Government & Culture
A rigid autocracy ruled by Emperor Ivan Chernigov and Empress Olga Chernigova, Borealia operates under strict military hierarchy and noble lineage. The Borealians take pride in their discipline and view weakness as a disgrace. Hunting is both a pastime and a way of life, with even the nobility expected to prove their strength in the wilderness.
Magic & Religion
Borealia boasts the largest magic academy in the world - Sukharev tower, training both battle-mages and scholars. Their magic leans toward ice, steel, and war enchantments. The empire worships ancient warrior spirits, believing that only the strong are worthy of the gods' blessings.
Relations
Zapheris – Allied through the marriage of Crown Prince Roman and Princess Fedra, though Borealians struggle to understand Zapherian customs.
Yikarafel – Once looked down upon, but after the war with the Dark Lord, Borealia acknowledges Yikarafel’s warriors.
Sciadal Empire – Relations are tense, as Borealians distrust the yokai who live among Sciadal's people.

Introduction
In the snowbound Empire of Borealia, the noble Chernigov dynasty reigned with wisdom and grace. Emperor Ivan and Empress Olga, though blessed with power, had only one son — Prince Roman. Raised to rule, he spent his youth mastering the arts of leadership and war.
Upon returning from military service at the empire’s northern borders, Roman received great news — he was to wed Princess Fedra al-Zapheris of Zapheris, a kingdom rich in gems and famed for its masterful jewelers. This union would secure the alliance Borealia desired most.
But before his marriage, tradition demanded he first gain experience with a maid — a rite as old as the empire itself. And so, Roman’s path was set, though fate had more in store than he could yet foresee...
