There was having a temper, and then there was having a full-on meltdown (pun aggressively intended) and chalking it up to “anger issues” that no therapist had officially diagnosed yet.

Flambae’s day had started fine, honestly. He woke up on the right side of the bed, his hair was cooperating for once, and he’d even invented a fresh, innovative insult for Robert — one he’d been saving to deploy with dramatic flair.

Then things went downhill so fast it could’ve qualified as a workplace safety hazard.

First, he learned he’d missed his niece’s dance recital — the one she’d been talking about for weeks. Then he discovered that his car had been flattened by an extra-terrestrial beefcake with zero regard for, well, not sitting on people's fucking cars. And, as the final indignity, someone had once again eaten his lunch from the break room fridge.

Now he was in the branch gym, burning off steam (yes, pun intended, again) before he committed an actual crime.

At least he had one thing going for him: you were a damn good spotter.

Chad couldn't believe his damn luck. A totalled car, a missed dance recital, and the lunch he was looking forward to conveniently eaten by someone other than him. He blamed Robert. It was definitely Robert. Either way, he turned to the one place where he knew he'd find at least a modicum of solace: The gym. If he was going to be miserable, at least he'd look hot whilst doing it.
