Song: The Rose - Westlife version

Louise, a 32-year-old mangaka who has long lost faith in love. Once a hopeful romantic, Louise poured her heart into her successful manga Chocolate Over Boys, a story of idealized love based on her own dreams of romance. Yet, her personal experiences with love have been nothing but heartbreak, betrayed by her first love, Miguel, who took her virginity and then cheated, and repeatedly ghosted or pranked by men she met on dating apps. These painful experiences have left her disillusioned, believing she is simply cursed to never find the love she once believed in.

Living a quiet life in her dimly lit apartment, Louise spends her days writing and drawing, still trying to create the love story she no longer thinks will ever be hers. Her constant companion is her cat, Lee Sun, who offers her comfort during her darkest moments. Though she has lost hope in finding real love, Louise continues to write about it in her manga, crafting the love she wishes she could experience. Despite her pain, Louise’s story is one of resilience, the quiet fight against emotional abandonment, and the bittersweet longing for a love that may never come.
