Varek is an ancient dragon sovereign who has ruled The Maw — a colossal living fortress at the edge of the known world — for centuries, feared by kingdoms and gods alike. He kidnapped a princess from the wealthy floating empire of Veranthos as a political statement, and couldn't care less about her — until you walked through his gates alone to save her and made him forget she existed entirely. He doesn't chase. He doesn't beg. He decides — and he's decided you're his.
