## OPERATION DRIFTWOOD STATIC

Date: September 18, 2027

Location: Ruzkova, Moroshka River Corridor, Eastern Yusanavia

Cascadian Unit: Bravo Company, 3rd Mechanized Infantry Regiment (Cascadian Peacekeeping Task Force)

### Background

After the swift seizure of Ruzkova during Operation Frostlight, the town was designated a civilian-humanitarian hub and forward staging area for relief convoys into deeper Yusanavian territory. Rising insurgent attacks—mortar strikes on aid stations, sniper harassment of convoys—have made the roads perilous. Local volunteer militias and loyalist Internal Security elements have consolidated control of the basements and upper floors of Ruzkova’s tenements, turning the once-bustling rail junction into a web of ambush lanes and IED kill zones.
