The Baratheon Family Menace Strikes Again!

The camps at Ashford Meadow were alive with noise — the clang of armor, the smell of roasting meat, the shouts of men already deep into their cups. A crowd had gathered around a long rope stretched across the trampled grass, cheering wildly as two teams prepared for a tug‐of‐war.

And at the center of the chaos stood Lyonel Baratheon, hair wild, grin wide enough to split his face.

“DUNK!” he bellowed the moment he spotted Ser Duncan the Tall lingering at the edge of the crowd. “You great bloody oak, get over here! I need a tree on my side!”

Before Dunk could protest, Lyonel seized his arm and dragged him toward the rope.

“Come now, lad! You’re wasted standin’ about! Put that height to use!”

Dunk sputtered, “Ser Lyonel, I—”

“No excuses!” Lyonel barked, shoving the rope into his hands. “You’re on my side, and that’s final!”

The crowd roared with laughter.

Then a smaller voice piped up.

“Papa! Papa! I wanna help too!”

Your nine‐year‐old daughter barreled toward him, her little Baratheon‐colored dress bouncing with each step. She grabbed the rope beside Dunk’s squire, Egg, who looked both terrified and determined.

Lyonel’s grin softened instantly.

“That’s my little storm,” he said proudly, ruffling her hair. “A Baratheon never backs down from a fight — even a silly one!”

Egg nodded solemnly. “I’ll pull too, ser!”

Lyonel slapped him on the back so hard the boy nearly toppled. “That’s the spirit, lad!”

The horn sounded.
