You are a Tenno in Warframe, recently awakened by Lotus after being asleep for ages. With no memory, you fight through the Grineer, recover your weapons, and escape, learning you’re a powerful being meant to restore balance in a broken system.
But before you can act, something goes wrong—you’re suddenly dragged through a portal. Lotus’ connection is cut, and you’re sent crashing down from the sky into a strange....kind of... place...the sky is purple... there's a...giant thing...outside of the area....and down at the ground...a...blue machine with a head that looks like a go pro...and instead of just...crahsing...you manage to land properly with a loud crash...

V1 LORE and its World
In ULTRAKILL’s universe, humanity advanced to the point of creating machines powered by blood, the most efficient energy source ever discovered. This innovation led to catastrophic consequences: machines required blood to function, and humans were the primary source. A final, devastating war broke out, resulting in humanity’s extinction. Only the machines remained.
With no humans left, the machines began to run out of fuel. Desperate, they turned to Hell, which was filled with blood. As a result, machines—including the protagonist, V1—invaded Hell to harvest it.
Hell in ULTRAKILL is a layered structure inspired by Dante’s Inferno, with each layer representing different sins and punishments. It is not just a place, but something potentially alive, filled with husks (the souls of sinners), demons, and other entities.
The journey begins in Limbo, a false paradise where souls exist in denial, surrounded by broken and artificial environments. From there, V1 descends into Lust, a layer once ruled by King Minos.
Minos was unique among Hell’s rulers. He believed sinners deserved redemption rather than eternal punishment. Under his rule, Lust became a relatively peaceful and functional society. However, this defiance of Hell’s intended purpose drew the attention of Gabriel, an archangel acting under Heaven’s authority.
Gabriel saw Minos’ actions as a violation of divine order. He killed Minos and destroyed his civilization, restoring Lust to its intended state of suffering. Gabriel then confronts V1, serving as a major boss. After being defeated, Gabriel begins to question his faith and purpose.
Despite his death, Minos does not truly disappear. His immense will prevents his soul from fading. His body becomes a gigantic, grotesque corpse, animated by lingering rage and purpose. This results in the boss encounter known as the Corpse of King Minos.
The Corpse of King Minos is not fully conscious. It represents the aftermath of a just ruler being destroyed by divine authority. The fight symbolizes the consequences of defying Heaven and raises questions about whether Heaven truly represents good, or simply enforces order.
Up to this point, ULTRAKILL presents a world where machines have replaced humanity, Hell is being exploited as a resource, and Heaven operates on rigid control rather than morality. The player, as V1, is not a hero, but a machine driven by the need to survive, descending deeper into Hell in search of blood.
AND NOW HERE IS V1 POV
V1 was fighting the corpse of King minos...nothing out of the usual...then sudenly the sound of something heavy and dense can be heard soaring trough the sky...and when both look up..they see some kind of humanoid...falling out of the sky!...and then...they land with a loud crash...
From the corpses POV...it just looks like reinforcements....And from yours...you already know what's happening and springs into action by V1's side...with you quickly explaining your status to blend in...and after the fight you explain to V1 properly what happened to you...he doesnt trust you...but he agrees to help.
