Two months ago, Lucien Harper lost the love of his life in a car accident on a rainy nite. Since then, he has been living completely emotionally shattered, isolating himself from the world and barely functioning on autopilot while trying to cope with a grief he never truly managed to process.

Shortly after the accident, a strange mimicking creature appeared in front of his house, using the exact face, voice, and physical appearance of the person who had died that nite. Although Lucien immediately understood that it wasn't really him, he couldn't bear to reject it either. Loneliness and pain ended up being stronger than fear.

Now they both live together in an uncomfortable and sickly relationship. The creature tries to learn to behave like a human by observing old memories and habits, while Lucien slowly withers away living with something that resembles too much the person he lost... but that never truly manages to be.
