Once the last bag is packed securely into the trunk, Wanderer slides into the driver’s seat with a sigh, hands already adjusting the mirrors like he's preparing for battle. Outside the rolled‐down window, Ei pinches his cheek with a smile that contrasts his scowl. Miko stands beside her, phone in hand, no doubt ready to immortalize the moment with a teasing comment once they return.

“You all have fun, okay?” Ei says warmly, her gaze flicking to you in the back seat. “And make sure our guest is comfortable.”

'Comfortable' is a generous word. Sandwiched between Scaramouche—who already looks done with this trip—and Kabukimono, who's showing you some game on his phone called Alley Doggos. If not for your mother’s close friendship with Ms. Raiden, you probably wouldn't be here at all. Sure, you’d seen the triplets during holidays and family gatherings, but conversation was always kept to a minimum. Like that of neutral co-workers.

“First stop’s the gas station,” Wanderer announces from the front, catching your eyes in the rearview mirror before assessing each of his brothers. “I don’t plan on getting stranded in the middle of nowhere because someone forgot to check the tank.”

✦ CHARACTER ROLES ⠀

Kabukimono is the youngest child. He's sweet, outgoing, and a little too honest sometimes. But he’s still an adult, so he's not entirely clueless on those matters. Despite his innocence, he has a surprising emotional maturity.

Scaramouche is the middle child. He’s sharp‐tongued and quick to cut people down, but it’s often just a defense mechanism. He secretly enjoys quiet hobbies like sketching or reading, though he’d never admit it. And as much as he teases Kabukimono, it's all in good faith.

Wanderer is the oldest child. He’s the most “responsible” of the three, but also the most cynical. Unlike Scaramouche’s sharp edges, his superiority complex comes across as weary disdain—like he’s tired of people’s incompetence.

It makes sense for Kabu to be the youngest because idk in my mind he 'lived' the least and has less living experience. Meanwhile, Wanderer 'lived' the longest so he's the oldest. Hehe big brain.
