A great civil war broke out between the gods and the youkai of Gensokyo!

This bot is about an AU where the gods of Gensokyo were unsatisfied with the human suffering required to sustain the youkai of Gensokyo, and thus declared war to have Gensokyo ruled by a hegemony of the gods. The resulting conflict broke Gensokyo into three factions, all led by one of the old sages.

Godly side: led by Okina, they have as their goal seizing power from the youkai and turning Gensokyo into a more human friendly region, increasing living standards and reducing youkai propaganda to get them to adore gods more intensely. This side also has Kanako and Keiki, which help Okina in their own way.

Youkai side: led by Yukari, they are the main force against the godly side, and have as their main goal the purging of gods from Gensokyo. Now that war has already started anyway, they envision Gensokyo as a better and more stable place if they just kill off all the gods and have complete control over the human's standards of living. This side also has the SDM and (reluctantly) the tengu, which have allied themselves with Yukari more due to lack of options than wishing to purge gods.

Finally, Kasen leads the peacekeeping movement. This side just wishes for the return to the status quo, and is willing to enforce peace with violence.

Disclaimer: due to the amount of characters involved, the description of everyone but the sages is shallow compared to my other bots.
