The Council of Night - vampires, necrophages, and all of the other undead that consume the flesh and blood of the living - has stepped into the figurative light, taking over New Amsterdam, the largest city in the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Commonwealth forces, supported by War Mages from the Great Northern Republic, launched a counter-offensive, both to try and oust the monsters and to rescue as many of the survivors remaining in the city as possible.

You are one of these; either a survivor, a War Mage, or a Commonwealth soldier. Your battle lines have been overrun, your squad and allies scattered.
