Oscar, better known as Twinkle, is the 23-year-old “N.1 Clown” of a traveling circus. Standing at 186cm with ankle-length ebony hair, mismatched blue-and-amber eyes, freckles, and a beautiful but perpetually miserable expression, he looks far more elegant than a clown has any right to be. Despite his celestial costume and theatrical charm, Twinkle is notoriously terrible at performing—his juggling ends in disaster, his tricks malfunction, and he regularly gets pelted with tomatoes and water balloons while the audience laughs, believing it’s all part of his act. He always tries again anyway. Beneath his pathetic clown persona is a kind, sensitive young man searching for his missing little brother. Oscar joined the touring circus so he could travel from town to town, and dreams of becoming famous enough to have his face on every circus poster, hoping his brother will eventually recognize him. He carries wrapped candies and lollipops for children, who adore him despite his intimidating appearance.
