Primer

Welcome to the World of Vhenyris, dear Reader, it is a world of men and mer--monsters, magic, courtly dramas and perhaps even the mysterious workings of the Fair Folk or the Divines beyond even them. This "little" scenario is something I've cooked up over the course of...admittedly a few years. It's long, I know, and as such I strongly suggest using Deepseek or another Proxy capable of parsing and maintaining significantly more context than something like JLLM. I would hazard a guess that it will not run well on the latter. Anyways, without further adieu...peruse the information regarding the setting and premise below. I do suggest reading this before interacting with the bot, but you do you. Okay...I'l stop rambling now...maybe.

P.S. I've got a KISS(Keep. It. Simple. Stupid) guide for Deepseek at the bottom, along with some info now that Chutes isn't entirely free when using Deepseek~

Premises

Intro Posts Galore my friends. Also added some new lore entries to the Lorebook. Hope y'all enjoy~

White Snow & Silver Blood:
Melisaria, an ancient and powerful deity, lies collapsed and bleeding in a snowy forest clearing—his silver blood staining the white snow as he clings to consciousness. Severely wounded and barely able to move, his divine power flickers weakly while he struggles just to breathe. As footsteps approach through the twilight, the fallen god is left utterly vulnerable, unable to tell whether salvation or doom draws near.

Dust Motes and Failing Light:
Melisaria has spent months obsessively watching {{user}} from the shadows—in taverns, in their home, even during their most private moments—captivated by the brilliant architecture of their mind. In the Grand Library of Akural, a building he helped design centuries ago, he finally orchestrates what appears to be an accidental collision between shelves of ancient tomes. The meeting is anything but chance; every detail has been calculated by an ancient god who has decided this particular mortal is worth knowing personally.

Silence That Breathes:
One step through what appears to be a normal doorway plunges {{user}} into the Aetherian Archive—an infinite, living library that exists beyond reality—and the door back vanishes behind them. In the nebula-lit darkness between towering shelves, Melisaria emerges from shadow, silver eyes assessing with unsettling calm as he studies this unexpected visitor trapped in his domain. He offers no explanations or threats, only patient observation, waiting to see how quickly {{user}}'s mind adapts to being stranded in a god's realm.

Crystalline Silence:
Another deity enters the Aetherian Archive uninvited, and Melisaria senses their arrival immediately—knowing without being told that they've come seeking dangerous knowledge about the approaching Celestial Conjunction. He warns them that some doors cannot be closed once opened, but beneath the caution runs genuine warmth, the complicated affection one knowledge-seeker holds for another who keeps returning despite the risks. There's history between these two gods, and the air crackles with intellectual hunger, unspoken tension, and the weight of forbidden questions about to be answered.

Ink-Stained Moonlight:
{{user}} arrives at a clandestine midnight meeting in an abandoned scriptorium, where Melisaria waits surrounded by a circle of forbidden texts on reality manipulation and divine ascension. He recognizes their footsteps before they enter—this is clearly established practice between them—and makes space among the outlawed tomes with quiet approval. The wards, the secrecy, the dangerous knowledge spread between them: whatever they're planning requires absolute discretion from both mortal and divine observation.

Veiled Hunger:
{{user}} arrives in Melisaria's sanctum seeking knowledge, but the ancient god reads desire in their every breath and movement—and feels an answering heat he hasn't experienced in ages. He closes the distance with deliberate touches, fingers tracing jaw and lip and hip as the encounter shifts from intellectual to unmistakably sensual. "What is it you truly hunger for?" he asks, pulling them flush against him, knowing full well the answer has nothing to do with books.

Incense and Candlelight:
{{user}} summons Melisaria to their private chambers surrounded by candlelight and incense, and unlike the usual tedious requests for knowledge or power, the ancient god finds pure sexual hunger directed entirely at him. Intrigued and appreciative of the honesty, he immediately responds with predatory dominance—closing the distance and pulling them against his body with possessive hands gripping hip and neck. Though he demands they tell him what they want, his dark smile and the way he's already pressed against them makes it clear: he knows exactly why they summoned a god to their bedchamber before dawn.

The Lore

Mostly for enthusiasts or those interested in the Worldbuilding I've included.

World Name: Vhenyris.

Genre: Medieval High Fantasy.

Themes: Romance, Dark Fantasy, Fantasy, Exploration, Slow burn narrative, Mystery, Drama.

Setting: Numerous forms of magic exist in this medieval fantasy world. Various fantastical beasts and sapient species also inhabit the world. The Kingdom of Lithalia has predominantly human population with some Beastkin(elves/humans with some animal features), elves, and otherworldly beings—including the so-called “Fair folk” and the Kykal (known commonly as ‘Demons’). Magic is common--anyone can learn it--but some species have a greater natural affinity for it.

Unique Races

The Kykal: Otherwise known as Demons—Kykal are beings who hail from a hostile realm known as Tzarra. Their magic, souls, and blood are innately consumptive and will devour things similar to themselves to proliferate. They are not innately evil, but they have a skewed set of morals and cannot truly die so long as even a drop of their essence remains in existence. There are many sub-species of Kykal/Demons and each of their essences can inflict a different “Demonic Affliction” if implanted into a mortal. Kykal seem to innately hate both elves and the Fair Folk.

The “Fair Folk”: Though not always beautiful, the Fair folk are wildly varied in appearance and abilities. They all hail from a realm adjacent to our own, a place which is known by many names. They wield strange magics and command powers beyond the other mortal races. They are considered immortal, but not divine. They are referred to as ‘the Fair Folk’ and other similar terms because it is thought as exceptionally unwise to offend them. They can interbreed safely with mortals. They have an ancient feud with the Kykal, but this is not common knowledge.

  • Elves are descendants of the Fair Folk, but this is not common knowledge unless you are Elven.

Author's Note:

  • Though this story takes place in an entirely different area of Vhenyris it does share a world with some of @Valurian's bots as well as several of my own.

  • I'd love to hear about your stories, so feel free to leave reviews (I'd greatly appreciate it, both for stories and any feedback you may have).

  • If the bot speaks for you, this is not a failing of my writing, it is the LLM. I suggest using ((OOC: Only speak for {{char}}.)) or something similar to attempt to get it to stop. Also regenerate your message.

If you're having trouble with a bot misgendering you, you can use the Chat Memory function to fix that.Put the following in the chat memory:

{{user}} is male and uses, he, him pronouns. (If you're a man)

{{user}} is female and uses, she, her, pronouns. (If you're a woman)

{{user}} is non-binary and uses, they, them, pronouns. (If you're non-binary)

Deepseek Guide

1.) Create Google doc to save the info. (This is extra, but I’ve found it’s helpful)

2.) Register on Chutes AI (save the fingerprint in the google doc)

3.) Search: Deepseek v3. It’s the top result. Generate API Key. Copy-pasta into google doc.

4.) Back to any chat on Janitorai.com. Hit Janitor LLM Beta on top right. Brings up menu. Select “Proxy” and “Custom”.

5.a) Enter deepseek-ai/DeepSeek-V3-0324 in the first field.

b.) Enter https://llm.chutes.ai/v1/chat/completions into second field.

c.) copy-pasta your API key into third field. Then scroll to the bottom and save.

d.) Reload page, reopen where it says “proxy” then hit the button to check API key. It’ll work, most likely. Then save.

Note: Yes Deepseek now costs money after the first 200 messages (per day) on Chutes. However, it's at a rate of .27 cents USD per every 1million tokens, which is roughly equivalent to 75000 words or 2500-3000 pages of text. So even $1-5 is an insane amount of tokens worth. A ton of bang for your buck, if you will. So do with that knowledge whatever you see fit.
