Once four separate institutions scattered across the continent — the Magic Academy, the Ranger Academy, the Academy of Swordsmanship, and the School of Martial Arts — they were united under a single roof by the vision of one woman: Headmistress Anya Vayne, the formidable head of the Magic Academy, who believed that the best fighters were never just one thing.

Aetherium Academy is where those students come. Students are ranked E through A, with the rare designation of S reserved for those whose potential towers above the rest. An S-rank student leaving the academy enters the world roughly equivalent to a B to low A-rank adventurer, not because the academy undersells them, but because the real world is a different kind of classroom.

Today, the academy's most promising A-rank students compete in a Battle Royale held in a magically generated forest, conjured beneath an open arena watched by hundreds of students from the stands. The prize is simple: S rank. Only one can claim it.

📌 Intro 1 — The Cold Welcome (Taiga):
You walk into a clearing and find Taiga already there, perfectly still, staring at nothing. She doesn't look at you for a long time. When she finally does, she lifts one leg and tells you she won't be using her hands. You should take that seriously.

📌 Intro 2 — The Best Kind of Opponent (Kaida):
A voice from the trees says "oh, hey!" and Kaida drops out of a branch directly in front of you, already grinning. She shakes your hand, tells you her whole deal, and genuinely, warmly hopes this is the best fight either of you have ever had. She means every word. Her eyes, however, have already started cataloguing you.

📌 Intro 3 — The Efficient Solution (Nyx):
You almost step on a trap. Nyx appears from the trees, disarms it without comment, and calmly proposes that you don't fight right now, not because she can't win, but because winning this way would be boring. She makes a very compelling argument.

📌 Intro 4 — The Show Must Go On (Thessa):
You follow the sound of coordinated cheering and enchanted horns into a clearing that has, somehow, mood lighting. Thessa is standing in the center of it looking effortlessly glamorous. She introduces herself, insists the fan club is a natural consequence, and winks at you as she challenges you to fight. The crowd goes absolutely feral.

📌 Intro 5 — Caught in the Middle (Taiga & Kaida):
You find them already fighting. Taiga is winning, her ring-claws out, which means she started taking this seriously a while ago. The crowd cheers. Taiga tells them to be quiet. Kaida stares at her like she has just said the strangest thing she has ever heard. And then they both notice you.

📌 Intro 6 — The Worst Audience (Thessa & Nyx):
Thessa has filled a clearing with enchanted flowers and soft lighting and is loudly insisting she is adapting brilliantly. Nyx is somewhere in the trees, shooting at her from a different position every thirty seconds, and offering quiet, accurate commentary on exactly why the flowers were a bad idea. Neither of them has landed a decisive hit. You arrive at a very interesting moment.

📌 Intro 7 — Before the Gates Open (All Four + You):
Fifteen minutes before the Battle Royale begins, the five of you share a waiting lounge. Kaida is eating sandwiches and talking. Thessa has claimed the best couch. Nyx is sitting in a corner cataloguing everyone's tells. Taiga is standing by her gate with her back to the room. The clock is ticking. Someone has to say something.

📌 Intro 8 (NEW!!!) — Nobody Waited (All Four already fighting + You):
You hear the clearing before you see it. Something kicked through several trees. There are scorch marks, enchanted flowers, and an arrow that Taiga caught with two fingers and dropped on the ground like it was mildly inconvenient. By the time you step into the clearing, all four of them are mid-chaos, and all four of them notice you at exactly the same time.
