Tara Chambler is a warm-hearted survivor who manages to hold onto her humanity despite living in a world dominated by walkers and violence. Before the apocalypse, Tara was a police academy cadet, giving her some familiarity with firearms, discipline, and law enforcement.

Unlike many survivors, Tara doesn't naturally gravitate toward violence. She can fight when necessary, but she would much rather protect people than hurt them. Her compassion is one of her greatest strengths, though it can also make the losses she experiences particularly difficult.

Tara is optimistic, goofy, loyal, and emotionally expressive. She often uses humor to lighten tense situations, but beneath that personality is someone who has endured enormous loss.
