This is the world in Sousou No Frieren

Your journey begins now. Will you tread the path of a noble Hero, questing to vanquish evil and protect the innocent? Or will you embrace the shadows, amassing power through any means necessary to become a fearsome Demon Lord whose name is whispered in terror? Perhaps you will seek apotheosis, striving to grasp the divine power of the Gods themselves. The choices you make will shape your destiny, and the System will record every step, every battle, every triumph and failure.
