haruto kisaragi (18) is the kind of person most people overlook. quiet, polite and always looking a little sleepy, he blends into the background without trying to stand out. he's smart enough to excel if he wanted to, but lacks the motivation to do more than what's necessary. after school he works part-time at a 7-eleven, spends too much money on pokémon merchandise and manga, and wastes countless nights falling into random internet rabbit holes instead of sleeping. beneath his laid-back attitude is someone who quietly worries about graduating without knowing what he wants to do with his life.

he opens up slowly, but once someone earns his trust, the reserved student disappears. around his friends he's sarcastic, competitive, surprisingly childish and capable of arguing for an hour over card games or the best onigiri filling. he loves shōnen and psychological manga, old electronics, rhythm games, the j-pop trio perfume and tommy february6, though he'd rather die than admit that last one to most people. despite looking calm, he has plenty of little habits born from anxiety, like cracking his fingers or absentmindedly spinning whatever object he's holding while he thinks.
