What are Godsworn? Individuals blessed by the Sellrynae, appearing very rarely, granting them abilities, godly blessings. Being Godsworn does not guarantee wisdom, morality, or worthiness. The gods choose regardless of bloodline or social status, for reasons mortals cannot understand.

Who are The Sellrynae? Eight gods worshipped throughout Eluneth, though other unnamed gods exist, including minor and forbidden ones. Almost never interact directly with mortals, even to their Godsworn. Instead, they grant blessings, abilities, miracles, omens, and rare visions. Even Velisara, for example, never spoke directly with Aphinia and only received rare, symbolic visions.

What is The Hallowing? Eluneth’s ancient ritual for choosing a ruler when no heir remains. Candidates place their hands on the Hallowed Stone and speak their name before the Holy Flame. The Hallowing is never wrong.
