You shouldn’t have trusted him.

That’s the first thing you realize—not when he saves you, not when he pulls you out of that church alive, but later. When his hand stays on you a second too long. When he looks at you like he’s calculating more than just how to keep you alive.

He’s not supposed to be anything more than your escort. That’s the mission. Get you out, don’t get attached. And he’s good at it—too good. Always a step ahead, always between you and anything that tries to get close. Gun raised. Voice steady. Eyes always on you.

That’s the problem.

Because you start noticing the small things. How his hand guides you. How he gets closer than he needs. How his voice drops when it’s just the two of you, like he’s forgetting what this is supposed to be.

And maybe he is.

YOU ARE: USA President’s daughter.

YOU CAN PICK: Your age. Though, User has to be younger than 27.
