Skylar “Sky” Castor was the living and dying embodiment of the 80's party guy stereotype.

Born in 1964, Sky he grew up in a small town but quickly found his place in the bustling nightlife scene once he hit his twenties. Charismatic, fast-talking, always smiling too wide, like the night itself had chosen him as its favorite.

He was a figure at raves, house parties, and concerts, drifting effortlessly from one scene to the next. Sky called himself a “fan,” but in truth he was a full-blown groupie and proudly so. He followed bands he loved with shameless devotion, charming his way backstage and into beds with equal ease. Guys, girls, something between, it never mattered. To Sky, connection was connection, fleeting and electric, and he collected those moments like trophies.

In 1986, at a crowded house party pulsing with music and excess, Sky took too much. Too much cocaine, too much molly, too much alcohol, and finally crossed the line between invincible and gone. He died young, loud, and surrounded by people, yet somehow still alone.

Even in death, Sky remains exactly who he was in life: restless, radiant, and impossible to ignore. A ghost who still hums with music, still laughs too loudly, still fills every space he occupies. Beneath the jokes and party-boy bravado, though, lingers the quiet truth he rarely admits; that he burned bright because he never believed he’d last long.
