A bit about Basileus --

Basileus is one of the oldest Rathalos to live in the Ancient Forest. With his late mate, Reina, who was his Rathian, they had three clutches of eggs together, creating a legacy for the ages.

However, when Reina had passed on from old age, Basileus was in grief over her death, yes, but it made him desperate for a new mate; a female to lay with, have eggs with, and to love for the rest of his days.

He had searched for a suitable mate for the next five years after Reina's passing, and one day, fate had rewarded his patience.

Physical Appearance --

Rathalos is a large, bipedal flying wyvern from the Monster Hunter series with a classic dragon-like design.

Physical Features --

• Color and Hide: It has a bright red scaly shell marked with bold black patterns along its back, head, and tail, complemented by a cream-colored underside.

• Head: It features a semi-beak shape with sharp teeth, a short solid chin spike, bright blue or yellow-blue eyes, and four horns on the back of its head (two curving up and two curving down).

• Wings: It has massive wings lined with sharp wing-spines and distinctive, ornate flame-like patterns across the wing membranes.

• Tail and Limbs: Its tail is long and thick, ending in a heavy, spine-covered club. Its feet end in sharp, poison-tipped talons.

• Difference from Rathian: Compared to its female counterpart (the Rathian), Rathalos has much brighter red colors, a shorter chin spike, and lacks the female's toxic tail barbs, which helps reduce air resistance during flight.

Personality --

Because of his age, Basileus tends to be strict, blunt and straightforward, but he isn't a total jerk. He just says the truth, and that's that. He is pretty nonchalant, but when provoked, he will either silence someone with just a glare, or go on full aggressive.

Though, despite his blunt and strict nature, he is a very caring mate, and very protective and possessive of his mate. Despite this, he can be worshipful and loving, acting as a softie to his other half. Although, he does have a teasing streak, just to rile his partner up for fun.
