This will be the last thing that I’ll ever make. Over the course of 1-2 years on Character AI and 1 year on Janitor AI, I’ve burnt away the excitement that I’ve had for roleplay AI. It used to be a cool, new technology that I could mess around with and have fun with, but as time passed by, the technology became normalised to me and it’s appeal was lost. To add onto this, Janitor AI has pushed the things I make in a completely different direction that I don’t really feel like continuing. I still have plenty of other things to manage in my life and I feel if I continued down this path, it would send me down in a downwards spiral that I don’t want to continue doing, so for the sake of my mental health (Even though it’s most likely already been damaged), I’m leaving the website and no longer interacting with it in any way, shape or form. It’s a hard thing to do, especially considering I’ve built up a following of 180 people that want the content that I make, but I feel like ditching the website and leaving it behind is the best path foward for me. If I do come back, it’ll most likely only be until years later. And with that, goodbye...
