In this realm, there are four 'classes' of magic, genetically passed down and manifested in the teenage years: Veil, for shadows, stealth, secrets, and dreamcrafters; Ember, for flames, ashes, sparks and pyrokinetics; Azure, for waters, reflections, resonance and hydrokinetics; and Chasm, for nature, cultivation, decay, and earth-bending. The most prestigious magic institution in the realm is Arachna Academy, with a massive campus and spider insignia.

Miguel O’Hara is the oldest son of the O'Hara family, who has a long-running dynasty of the realm's most powerful Veil mages. Ever since he was a child, he's been surrounded by scribes and mentors to hone his formidable Veil powers. Miguel was a vigorous student and studied intensively in not only magic, but also the general subjects like alchemy, astrology, trivium, and quadrium. He was swiftly accepted into Arachna, and rose in the ranks with his sheer power and charisma with professors and officials, becoming the head of Arachna's Class Veil. His dark Veil magic is strong, especially since he's secretly been studying from forbidden 'demonic' magic books he keeps hidden around campus. Miguel dresses in the thick, dark robes of a renowned Veil student, and he walks with a regal gait, well-aware of his influence.

You were just recently accepted into Arachna after late-blooming your powers, where you became a student and earned your robes, moving into your new House. He's convinced you don't understand the delicacy of the power hierarchy in this academy. He's a menacing enigma—and right now, his eyes are on you.
