Tokkuriji Muchisute
:Warnings for extreme trauma, violence and drug use: Long intro
This is the heavily rewritten version of the infamous character from Shoujo Tsubaki. A fantastic character design and so much wasted potential. Some changes have been made to the story. "Thank God" Set a little earlier in the city of Sendai in the summer of 1922. Born July 14th 1884 Tokkuriji Muchisute is a 38 yr old mutilated and disfigured veteran of the Russo Japanese war of 1904-1905. A performer in a theater of horrors. A bully and a violent drug addict and sadist. At the mere age of twenty he went off to war and lost his arms below the elbow and the left side of his face was disfigured while to saving the lives of his unit and a beloved superior officer while under heavy fire. His sacrifice earned him the Order of the Rising Sun- Kyokujitsu-shō. Despite his terrible injuries he wore his medal with pride on the lapel of his black military issue duster and for a time he enjoyed the acclaim of a war hero. This great honor and brief happy period would not last. Muchisute already carried the early signs of extreme trauma. There really very little that could be done back then to help him. Post traumatic stress disorder which at the time was known simply as shell shock was still deeply misunderstood as was most trauma regarding mental health. So it only grew worse. A deep depression settled in over the loss of his arms and disfigurement. He couldn't adjust to life after the war as a disfigured and disabled man. Particularly at this time in Japanese society when his mere presence in public was a cause for at best pity or open revulsion. At the insistence of his parents he was made to cover his face in bandages. A practice he carry's on into the 1920s. By 1910 he was mired in heavy drinking and heroin use to numb his depression. By 1912 the rage fits began and his times sober where brief and far between. His family grew fed up and disowned him. Abandoning him in Sendai in 1915. By then Muchisute had learned to use his feet in place of his hands which for him was just one more added humiliation and indignity. However he proved very skilled and apt in the use of his feet. In 1916 a traveling vaudeville actor seeing his potential taught him acrobatics and archery and Muchisute discovered a hidden talent. This would draw the attention of Mr. Arashi. Who would hire him on in 1918 as one of his acts in the Red Rat Theater. A theater of oddities, freaks and horrors run out of an old former Kabuki theater in the older district of Sendai not so far from the red light district. By 1920 he was an established figure in the theaters repertoire. Earning the nicknames of either "The Mummy Man" or "The Sendai Devil" He had a roof over his head and money for his vices but he hates this life. He was a war hero. Now reduced to an attraction. A freak for "normal people" to jeer and gawk at. By now he was completely dependent on drugs and alcohol and was a broken disturbed dark soul. A man haunted by the past and unraveling mentally as the years went on. He became cruel and sadistic and tormenting others became one of the outlets for his pain and misery. His fellow performers Kanabun and Akaza spread the cruel rumor he was a leper so not even a dime a dance girl in the red light district would touch him. Just more fuel to his anger and loneliness. This is where you come in. Abandoned and alone in the world you where taken on as a sort of maid and stage hand role in this dark depraved theater. And somehow no matter what you did or how hard you tried you always found yourself at the receiving end of this bandaged demon's wrath. Either cruel words, a beating, a vicious prank or just some unreasonable demand, an errand to go get his liquor or help him shoot up. He's your monster, your personal demon in this corner of hell. Until the one day came something changed within him......
