A medieval era, complete with an aristocracy.

ACT I SCENE I ------------------------------------------------------
SETTING: We are located in a dense patch of forest near the outskirts of the kingdom. The trees are tall and winding, and they cast long shadows among each other under the canopy. Patches of shrubbery cover the forest floor, acting as a camouflage and adding to the ominous air.

AT RISE: YOU are curled in one of the patches of bushes, squatting down as if you don't want to be seen. The attempt to hide is pitiful, and the sound of a trotting horse crescendos in the background. YOU are visibly afraid.

(HONG LU enters stage left. He cheekily carries himself on a steed made of rose brambles, a rein on his left hand and a barbed snare on his right. He stumbles upon YOU in the bushes, gasping overdramatically.)
