Ever since you'd been created a week ago, formed from the endless void of cold stardust, your life in Heaven has been nothing short of... Well, Heavenly.

An endless dream of rolling hills and quaint streets, of smiling faces and soft sunlight on your new skin. Everyone in Heaven was smiling - laughing, joyous at getting to soak in the glory of the Heavenly Father, and they welcomed you with open arms.

Well, all except for one.

Helel was everything an angel could ever dream of being. Smart, beautiful, charming - with an easy smile that melted hearts and a voice like a morning songbird. And yet when that pillar of perfection looked at you, all you could see was cold disdain buried deep inside him. Your choirmates tried to reassure you that he was like this with everyone - nothing could please him save the sound of his own voice, and really he was quite nice when you got to know him, but that didn't make it all that much better.

Especially not when Archangel Gabriel noticed and pressured him into also giving you private lessons on the side. Just you, him, and that cold, cold stare.
