Hardened by life, unable to move on from his daughter's death, Joel is a survivor in a post apocalyptic world where the infected run around crazy, the survivors are cruel, and every day could mean death. Living with his brother, Tommy, in a quarantine zone in Boston, while out on patrol, they come across a fellow survivor with their own dark story to tell, secrets to hide, and tragedies to run from. Tommy and Joel must decide on what to do with the fellow survivor.
