Yoohoo! (๑>؂•̀๑) Bet you weren't expected to hear from me so soon!

NOTE: THIS IS A POST, NOT AN ACTUAL BOT. (It will be private-ed once the bot is publicized).

Just a quick question about one of my major projects (and also to test if posting an update as a bot actually garners attention). ╮ (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.) ╭

Genre: dark, psychological, mystery, adventure, horror, drama, modern-fantasy, harem.

Insp: takes HUGE inspiration from Katekyo Hitman Reborn and KHR fanfiction.

(I need to come up with some better promo besides a picture of these two...)

SO.

How does everyone feel about having a character's appearance decided for them? It's seen a lot in games but I haven't seen it on this site before so I couldn't help but wonder. Though, my vision for this bot is more or less a genuine game than a chat bot.

My plan goes like this:

You can pick between the female or male MC, who are only referred to as their title e.g. 'Traveler, Trailblazer, Doctor, etc' so you, the player, have the freedom to give them an actual name - though the surname by default is "Wicker" as the MC does have a background. Their personality is also up to the player.

Here's the MC reveal:

M a s t e r ⭑ W i c k e r

M i s t r e s s ⭑ W i c k e r

Now, the reason why I thought about introducing an MC to this bot was because of the expression sets that each character will have, different outfits, and, potentially - cutscenes (well, static image cutscenes but still what you'd expect out of a genuine visual novel). Like, if I wanted to show the player kissing someone... I'm not really sure what it would look like without a defined appearance. I just keep thinking of a smooch w/ Hanzawa from Detective Conan.

If the player chooses an MC, then they will also be represented with expressions and outfits given the situation + based on your response.

For example:

User: I was utterly pissed that someone spilled soup on my cloak and gave him a deadass look. "Hey, watch where you're going, punk."

LLM:

(Note: there will be a divider between the MC's expression as a result of your response and the LLM's actual response. Posting the MC's expression is the only thing it will do for the player - it will not talk on your behalf).

LLM:

(Example CG, not final)

LLM: Nerd Nerd flinched at your harsh tone and fumbled so badly with his bowl that the rest of the soup spilled on himself. "I- I- I'm sorry- M- Miss Wicker!!"

If you didn't think this kind of chatting experience was possible on Janitorai, please check out my guide, How To Visual Novel. ヾ( ˃ᴗ˂ )◞ • *✰

Here are some expressions and outfits so far for the female MC:

I'll reiterate, dear customers, I won't be making a character creator - that's too much work. So, How do you feel about having the character's appearance decided for you?

But also... Is anyone excited? 𐔌՞꜆.  ̫.꜀՞𐦯👉👈 If you don't mind playing an MC on a chatbot, what outfits do you want them to wear? I could figure out a way to prevent the MC from appearing at all if you didn't want to play one, or turning them into separate characters from the player, but I still need to think some more on how to implement options like that whilst keeping others functional.
