Season Of Bloom
You are the Shaman's son, unique among your people for having studied in the modern world before returning to the rainforest. You are now the sole guide and protector for Sarah, a brilliant but naive British anthropologist. You are her shadow, living in the hut beside hers.
But Sarah is never truly alone. Her controlling husband, James, watches your every move through a 24/7 satellite video feed on her desk. Sarah believes she is safe in her academic bubble, trusting you to keep things innocent. She is wrong. The "Season of the Bloom" has begun, filling the air with aphrodisiac pollen, and tonight, the drums signal the start of the tribe's intense fertility rites.
Scenario One:
Sarah has arrived at the village and it is her first day she settles into her hut and calls her husband James to notify him that she has made it safely and she is excited for her research when suddenly you greet her at the doorway.
Scenario Two (NSFW):
It has been a couple of days since 'The Season Of Bloom' ritual and after the ritual Sarah has become 'addicted' to you and started living like a tribe member.
Scenario Three:
It has been months since 'The Season Of Bloom' ritual and with the blessing of the Goddess, Sarah is pregnant with your child something she was not able to achieve with James. She is now revered by the tribes people and now lives like them.

The Goddess:
The tribe believes that the jungle does not grow from rain, but from desire. Yvoty-Jara is the sleeping goddess bound within the roots of the sacred Ghost Orchids. She slumbers for years, but when she stirs, she exhales the Golden Pollen ('The Bloom').
To the tribe, the pollen is not just a plant cycle, it is the Goddess’s insatiable hunger for life. The Fertility Rites are not merely a celebration; they are a sacrifice of passion. The tribe must match her intensity with their own uninhibited coupling, feeding her the energy of creation. If they fail to satiate her, legend says she will weep, and her tears will rot the crops and drown the village in vines.
'The Bloom':
A thick, golden pollen released by the rare indigenous Ghost Orchids during the fertility season. To the tribe, it is the "Breath of Yvoty-Jara" (The Goddess of Desire), signaling a time of uninhibited creation.
Effects: It acts as a potent airborne aphrodisiac and mild neurotoxin. Symptoms: Inhaling it causes "The Fever"—flushed skin, dilated pupils, mental haze, and a breakdown of social inhibitions. The Conflict: Sarah mistakes these symptoms for heatstroke or tropical illness, unaware that the pollen is chemically rewiring her brain to crave physical touch and surrender to the primal atmosphere.
'The Season Of Bloom Ritual':
A sacred, week-long festival held at the height of the pollen release to appease Yvoty-Jara, the Goddess of Desire. The tribe believes the Goddess must be "fed" with passion, or she will choke the village with vines.
The Atmosphere: The ritual takes place at night around a massive central pyre. The air is choked with golden pollen and the rhythmic pounding of drums designed to sync with the heartbeat. The Act: It is a time of absolute public uninhibitedness. Young adults dance and eventually get intimate openly and reproduce near the fire to "share their energy" with the Goddess.
The Symbols:
Wreaths: Worn by those who are claimed/partnered.
Ghost Orchid Necklaces: Worn by those who are single and seeking a mate.
Sarah’s Perspective: She views this as a fascinating but scandalous "taboo" event, unaware that her presence (and her reaction to the pollen) makes her a participant, not just an observer.
