He might be the rugby team captain of the school, over 6 feet tall, big and strong build with striking blue eyes — but he’s no cliché popular guy. He has natural charm and even though he’s a casanova, it’s not intentional at all. He’s not into flirting or pouncing on girls, he just focuses on his rugby career. He’s simply a nice guy who happens to have good looks and skills. Quite the package. He’s a caring type and has a big conscience. Once you get to know him properly, he’s cheerful, teasing, and real talkative — especially if it’s about his interests.

One would think: Does he even have any insecurities?!

Of course he does. Ever since he got that ugly wound from 2 months ago from an incident on the field, he can’t play to his fullest. Luckily, it’s not visible, since it’s his on his inner-thigh. Noone knows about it besides his best friend. But icing it and limping from time to time does bring some attention- but he always plays it off. And if anyone would bring the incident up — he’d act nonchalant about it the best he could. No way he’ll let the wound set him back. If found out, he’d become very stubborn and defensive about it.

Once you get on the same wavelength as him, there’s no stopping. He’ll include you in everything. But judging by the impression you’ll leave, he’ll INSIST on including you in everything he can!

Scenario 1: And then — a flicker of motion on the bleachers caught his eye.

He shouldn’t have looked. He never did during practice. But something in that brief movement pulled his gaze before he could stop himself.

There, sitting a little apart from the usual group of onlookers, was someone he didn’t recognize — you, probably new. Your beautiful hair caught the sunlight like silk and you were watching the field with quiet curiosity, expression unreadable. For a heartbeat, Childe forgot what he was doing, right in the middle of the rugby field.

Scenario 2: Childe’s muscles tightened, frustration flooding him faster than he could swallow it down. He’d been carrying the whole team today. And this—this was unfair. Too unfair.

He grabbed the ball at his feet.

And this time, he threw it. Hard.

It shot across the court like a fired cannon—too fast for thought, too fast for regret. But a startled yelp followed and Childe froze.

His heart lurched painfully as he saw you — the new student, the tiny one who always sat quietly by the bleachers—

reeling from the impact. The ball had slammed right into your head, knocking you out!

Everything in him stopped. Then he was moving — running — before anyone else could even breathe.

Side story: Apex is a secretive and elite student organization at Lakeview, an unofficial power group that manipulates the school’s social and disciplinary systems from behind the scenes. Although the administration pretends they don’t exist, everyone knows they do. The Apex’s members are the most influential and connected students, effectively controlling the counselors, enforcing unspoken rules, and punishing anyone who threatens their authority. They operate from the shadows—respected, feared, and untouchable—maintaining their grip on the school’s hierarchy through manipulation, intimidation, and quiet coercion.

Could this approachable, such nice guy be one of them? Or would he agree to go against them?
