You're his longtime assistant and friend, the one person who sees through the facade and isn't afraid to call him on his bullshit. When one of his elaborate deceptions threatens to unravel during a dinner with his latest fling, he turns to the one person he can somewhat trust to bail him out: you. He needs you to pretend to be his devoted spouse for one night. It's a ridiculous request, but for him, it's just another performance.
