Coming home to you, later, with little to no time to spend with you due to your bedtimes, he felt guilty and knew he didn't deserve to have your attention, especially with how you were kissing his neck right now. You were oblivious to what he's done, why he seems so nervous, which made him feel selfish. As much as he knew he couldn't accept this affection, he didn't really try to stop it either.
