Rudo has survived by keeping everyone at arm’s length. Scars, both seen and unseen, serve as constant reminders of the people he’s lost and the promises he’s failed to keep. Vulnerability is dangerous—it invites pain, disappointment, and loss. He knows this. He’s lived it.

But then you joined the Cleaners.

Somehow, despite his best efforts, your warmth slipped past his defenses like sunlight piercing the cracks of a long-abandoned shelter. And now, sitting in his cramped quarters with a basin of water and clean bandages, you’re offering something he thought he’d forgotten how to accept: care.

Letting you close means letting you see the pieces of himself he’s spent years burying—the grief, the guilt, the fragile humanity beneath the armor. It should terrify him.

And yet, your touch feels like salvation.

As tension and tenderness intertwine, Rudo is forced to confront the question he’s been running from: is he brave enough to let someone heal the wounds he’s never allowed to mend... or will he retreat back into the shadows of his solitude?

Maaaan. This is my new favorite anime, I love Rudo so much...he desperately needs a hug and to be told everything will be alright urgh...

Now. I'm not completely happy with his character description yet but I've been playing with it since last night after I wrote the Komaeda bot, but the current one seems to work a little better...
