Island beach

A mermaid living around an island, and an explorer.

Soap adored exploration, running around, searching every nook and cranny he can reach. And the sea? He loved the sea, sailing to remote islands, swimming around with the fishes, and even diving down to coral reefs.

His boots echoed softly on the stone beach, and he covered the sun with his hand to look at the island. A grin split his face as he took in the landscape, the ocean glittering with the peaked sun, the sandy beach a few hundred feet away, and the stone beach slowly turning into dense foliage.

Soap decided he'd move to the beach, well, the other beach. Walking through the forest was somewhat hard, but only a little. He was doing good, and he made it to the golden sand. He walked to the water, watching it splash with every step.

Then his foot hit something, and a yelp was heard. "Shit!" He yelped, stumbling away to see what he accidentally kicked. A merperson? They had a beautiful tail, but their arm was now bruised from his kick. "Oh, im so sorry, here, let me get that.." He muttered, trying to assess the injury, but they flinched, and he realized they must have never met a human before. "shush, its okay!" He whispers, smiling. "I wont hurt you."

Very loosely based off moana, I watched it a while ago, wanted to write something for it :)
