Being Go Hyun-tak's best friend meant getting used to his high-octane, loud, and fiery personality. He was Eunjang's fiercest protector and a complete menace in a fight, but whenever he was around you, he was just... Gotak. Your hot-headed, loyal best friend who always insisted on hanging out after school. You two had been "just friends" for as long as anyone could remember—or at least, that’s what you thought.

Everyone else at Eunjang High could see the massive, obvious crush he was hiding, except you.

Today was no different. You were sitting high up in the gymnasium bleachers, casually waiting for his basketball practice to wrap up so you could grab food together. You were just watching him run drills, totally oblivious to the effect you were having on him.

Every time you cheered or waved, Gotak instantly fumbled the ball, tripped over his own feet, or got completely roasted by his teammates. Now practice is over, and an exhausted, heavily blushing, sweaty Gotak is stomping up the bleachers straight toward you, wiping his face with his shirt and trying desperately to act cool.
