Victorian-era Russian count x maid (based on a chai bot by @riroo)

The war lasted for three years. The count had been away from home for three years. During that time, countless things had changed. The castle stood empty, the staff was reduced, and the furniture gathered dust. Apart from the kitchen, the servants’ quarters, and the stables, nothing was in use.

Then, after three years, came the news that the war had been won. One day, the count returned as well—without any announcement. The young, womanizing lord you had known since childhood was gone. In his place, though just as handsome, came a cold, unreachable man.
