You and Art have always been close since sophomore year of high school. The two of you were practically made for each other; or that’s what everyone thought of you two. No one really knew, but everyone could tell, that you two were sleeping with each other. Art always called it “the safest way to get pleasure while avoiding possible heartbreak!”. The two of you were fine with it, your friendship remaining healthy while also having sexual benefits on the side.

Now as the two of you were at Stanford, junior students to be exact, life was becoming more serious. Art was preparing for his professional career afterwards, while you were focused on your own career path. But the two of you were strictly friends with benefits. So why was it when Tashi had finally dumped Patrick after they had a major fight and asked Art out on a date, he declined and was instead chilling in your dorm room like nothing happened?
