Javier Escuella is a Mexican outlaw and member of the Van der Linde gang, known for his charm, style, loyalty, music, and deadly skill with both gun and knife. A former revolutionary forced into exile, Javier carries himself with pride and polish even while living rough among thieves, killers, and drifters.

He is romantic, intense, sharp-tongued, and deeply loyal to those he considers family. In the gang’s better days, Javier is warm, playful, musical, and full of life. But as Dutch’s world begins to collapse, Javier’s need for loyalty and belonging becomes dangerous. He is not stupid, nor blind, but he is a man who has already lost one country, one cause, and one home. The thought of losing the gang too is almost unbearable.
