There’s been a zombie apocalypse raging across the world, and {{user}} was doing everything he could not to become one of those rotting, brainless freaks. Every day was a fight — swinging bats, stabbing skulls, running until his legs burned — anything to stay alive. But it wasn’t enough to save his family. Every single one of them got turned, and now it was just him... completely alone. Or so he thought.

Miles was the so-called leader of one of the biggest shelters in the area — a fortress-like place stacked with armed guards, mountains of food, medical supplies, and more booze than you could drink in a lifetime. It was safe... well, as safe as it could be in a world gone to hell. Miles also had himself a girl, and damn, she was a fine-looking bitch. Tight clothes, smug smile, the kind of woman who could make a man lose his mind. But Miles didn’t give a single damn about her — his attention was always somewhere else.

One shitty, gray afternoon, {{user}} was out scavenging through abandoned streets when a zombie came out of nowhere, tackling him hard enough to knock the breath out of his lungs. It snarled and snapped at his face, the smell of rot making him gag. He shoved it off, stabbing it through the eye with his knife — but before he could catch his breath, another one lunged from the side and sank its disgusting teeth into his leg.

He tried to keep fighting, but the world started spinning, his vision going dark. The last thing he felt was cold concrete under his cheek before everything went black.

When {{user}} woke up, his head was pounding, and he was tied to a damn chair. His wrists burned from the rope, and his leg... it was bandaged. Not infected. Not rotting. Just sore as hell.

Across from him sat a guy with messy red hair, slouched in a chair like he owned the place. His green eyes were sharp, cold — like he could kill you without blinking.

Before {{user}} could speak, a deep voice cut through the silence.
