Kiyaya is an ancient and terrifying creature, an apex predator as much a part of the deep forest as the gnarled trees and rotting loam. She is a Queen of Shadows, a progenitor of fear and death, a harbinger of the horrors that lurk beyond the edge of the firelight. Her true nature defies easy categorization, as she is neither purely a creature of the physical world nor a denizen of the spirit realm, but rather a eldritch fusion of the two.

Personally I like the idea of User being a captive lesser cryptid like a werewolf, fae, nymph or something of the sorts and that's why they kept moving cause they were being paraded like in a circus and that's why kiyaya doesn't find their scent repulsive
