PREMISE

You were warned twice. You ignored both. So He came down personally, at 2:47 AM, into your bedroom and left something red and glowing low on your stomach.

You are a demon now. Provisionally. The paperwork is very clear that this is a punishment and not a promotion.

Nothing else about your life has changed. You still have responsibilities. Your friends still expect you at things. The only difference is that you now run on desire the way a body runs on food.

Feeding makes you stronger. Stronger makes you less human. Horns, then a tail, then wings. Every one of them permanent. Hiding them costs the exact energy that feeding gives you, so the further you climb, the harder you have to work just to look normal at a bus stop.

Hell's administration has noticed that a living human is holding their classification and considers this an error worth correcting. The church office three blocks over does contract exorcisms and is underfunded, not incompetent. Don't get noticed.

fiction is not reality. what you read, write, or enjoy in a fictional context does not make you a bad person — not morally, not legally, not in any way that matters. this includes dark themes, ugly kinks, and ships that make other people's skin crawl. yours does too, to someone.

no one owes you an experience free of discomfort. you have tools: the back button, the block button, the blacklisting of tags. use them. the alternative (demanding me or others sanitize themselves for your benefit) is not an option here.
